Today is the last day of 2019, and the last day of this decade. WOW!! Earlier today, I was thinking back to ten years ago today, and am amazed at all that happened in those ten years. My daughter had just gotten engaged then, so we were thrilled. But I'd also finally accepted the fact that I had no choice but to have back surgery, so I was filled with fear. As always, despite my fears of what might happen with my health, the Lord worked an amazing miracle with my surgeries and countless blessings came from that painful time. Best of all, I was able to walk down the aisle at my daughter's beautiful wedding ceremony, standing straight and tall! God is SO good!!
Reflecting on the past ten years was a reminder that no matter what our future holds, we can trust our Lord to be with us every step of the way. Through the difficult times and the happy times--He is always with us.
The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Psalm 29:11

Thanksgiving 2019
Happy Thanksgiving! May we all count our blessings--not just in this Thanksgiving season, but throughout all the year.
No matter what you might be going through, there are still many blessings around you.
The photo I'm sharing is my favorite backyard tree, when it was showing off its colors. So beautiful! I knew the leaves wouldn't last too long, so I snapped a photo before rain and wind arrived.
Each Autumn this tree is another reminder of the beauty God has placed in our world--so many blessings for us to enjoy. May I have a thankful heart every day.
O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever. Psalm 107:1

CatMom Chats With...Author Sharee Stover
I am thrilled to finally begin my Author interviews! 😊
My first guest is wonderful and lovely Author Sharee Stover, who writes for Love Inspired Suspense.
How long have you been writing?
Going on 10 years. Wow, that just doesn't seem possible!
Where do you usually write?
I'm a creature of habit and like my "office"...it's more like a hallway that I share with my dogs, but it's where my desk and computer live so I spend 99% of my life there.
When you're not writing, what do you enjoy doing?
Taking walks with my hubby and German Shepherd. Crocheting in the winter, and of course, READING.
Do you have any pets?
Oh yes! We have a German Shepherd and a Schipperke/Miniature Pinscher mix.
I'm always interested in "Favorites" - - so, what is your:
Favorite color? PURPLE. When in doubt....PURPLE. 💜
Favorite food? Mexican-TexMex - - by far. I could eat it everyday.
Dream vacation? Australia. They have THE coolest animals.
Anything special you'd like readers to know about you? 😊
I am so grateful for the wonderful folks that read Love Inspired Suspense books. It's truly an honor and privilege to write for them.
Thank you so much, Sharee!! And I will add that if anyone hasn't read Sharee's first book, Secret Past, it's still available on Amazon and is AMAZING!! I don't read much suspense, but loved this story!
Her 2nd Love Inspired Suspense book can be pre-ordered now on Amazon, and is Silent Night Suspect. Wow, sounds interesting - - I plan to order this one, too! Happy reading, friends!

Happy Fall!
Happy Fall, my friends! Oh my goodness - - where is this year going?!
Each season has special blessings, but I must say that the Fall season is my very, very favorite season of all. The cooler temperatures (which hopefully will arrive soon!), colorful leaves, and pumpkin everything makes me smile! 😊
I'm preparing to attend a Christian Writers' Conference, but after I arrive home again, I *will* (finally!) begin posting my CatMom Chats with... posts, and I'm super excited about these! I will be featuring some brief interviews with special writer friends---both published and yet-to-be published. There might be a few prizes given out now and then too. 😉
The photo I've posted shows some of my favorite trees dressed in Fall attire (from several years ago). At the moment these trees are still wearing green, but I'm sure by late October or early November, the colors will change.
Enjoy this beautiful season!

Easter Blessings and a New Book!
Today is Good Friday, and despite my long To-Do list, I'm making sure I take time to reflect on the meaning of this day. Thinking of what Jesus did for all of us---for you and me---takes my breath away. He gave His life, so we can have eternal life---if we only believe.
I pray that your Easter weekend is filled with special blessings, and that you'll reflect on this Holy weekend and all that it means. We can still enjoy time with family, egg hunts, and good food (and candy!). But most importantly may we all remember that Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for us - - No Greater Love. 💜
I would also like to announce my 3rd book, which just released! This is the third book in my "Emerald Coast Romances" series, and I'll admit that I fell in love with this coastal community on Florida's panhandle. If only it wasn't a fictional place, LOL.
In Tune With Romance features a widowed heroine who wants to start her own business, but is plagued by her late husband's stepmother harassing her. The divorced hero is a piano tuner, trying to make a fresh start after moving to Coastal Breeze. He deals with painful memories of his failed marriage, but is moving forward. Then a cousin visits, and traumatic memories from childhood resurface. Can a couple who are polar opposites find romance and a lasting love? I hope my readers will enjoy this sweet story! 😍

Coming Soon: Author Spotlights!
I've featured author interviews on my blog in the past, but have decided I'd like to make this a regular feature in CatMom's Corner. 😊 So, I plan to feature interviews with different authors - - at least for the remainder of 2019! Reading these interviews is an easy way to learn more about various authors, and hopefully you'll discover some new books to read.
Since becoming published, I've been very blessed to be a featured guest on other blogs, so it makes me happy to host authors on my blog. I'll also continue having some of my "regular" blog posts too, so I hope if you visit you'll consider leaving a comment.
Happy February!! And happy reading! 💗
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him. Colossians 3:17

With This Pledge (Book Recommendation!)
Author Tamera Alexander has been one of my very, very favorite authors for quite some time. In fact, I've genuinely loved every book she's written!
Her newest book, With This Pledge, is a Civil War story, set in 1864 at the Battle of Franklin in Tennessee. This story features actual events and people, and does not gloss over how things were at that time. Tamera Alexander has a gift for pulling the reader into the story, and making you feel as though you're actually there - - witnessing the horrors of war, but also sweet, touching moments between characters. She's thoroughly done her research, and it shows clearly in her writing.
Even if you're not usually a reader of historical romance, I highly recommend reading this book. A story that will keep you turning pages and tug at your heart. A definite winner!!
